Sizzle Reels

Short pieces I’ve created to help producers and directors fundraise and realize their projects. Please contact me for more details about these projects.

What Are You Prepared to Do? (2022)

Produced by Dan Levin and Eric Newman, this documentary sizzle tells the inspiring story of Wes Bellamy the Charlottesville, VA city council member and activist who spearheaded the movement to remove a confederate monument of Robert E. Lee, which sparked a conservative backlash including the infamous “Unite the Right” rally. I collaborated with the filmmakers to tell a nuanced and detailed story that left room for future expansion in longer form.

Smith (2022)

I collaborated with Oscar nominated producer Peter Morgan to create a pitch sizzle for an original script based on the life of real life lawyer Gregory W. Smith, who specializes in government whistleblowers. Our piece was constructed completely with found footage, news archival, and cleverly placed voice acting to pithily give potential backers a clear idea of the tone and vision of the full-scale project.

No Home Here (2021)

A documentary sizzle produced by Lisa Klein and Doug Blush about the homelessness crisis in Sacramento, CA, which serves as a synecdoche for the worldwide issue people living on the streets and in shelters. With access to numerous houseless people and families, we worked to create a character-driven piece that also addressed larger economic and political trends.
